SHPOA takes Position on Whitebird Development

The Shadow Hills Property Owners Association took a position on the White-bird Development in November/December when they asked residents to attend the first hearing on December 9th. "Do you want 280 homes on both sides of the 210 Freeway at La Tuna Canyon Blvd off ramp?"

The Shadow Hills Property Owners Association (SHPOA) opposes the project as it is proposed for many reasons, including the following:

* The proposal increases the number of houses allowed (density) by 322% - which violates our existing community plan.

* By increasing the "density designation" the proposed project would allow for massive cut & fill grading of the pristine mountains on either side of the 210 Freeway at La Tuna Canyon Blvd.

* The majority of houses in the project are NON-horse keeping which violates the existing community plan for La Tuna Canyon.

It is critical that the City of Los Angeles hears from the surrounding communities about their concerns with the project.
