Los Angeles Horse Council President Royan Herman and Board Member Fritz Bronner receive the 2009 Spirit of Johnny Carpenter Award

Los Angeles Horse Council President Royan Herman and Board Member Fritz Bronner received the 2009 Spirit of Johnny Carpenter Award given to individuals whose works best represent the spirit of giving back to the community by working to preserve the horse communities, open space and prevent development. They received beautiful wood plaques at the All Nations Church ceremony, along with Certificates of Appreciation from Congressman Brad Sherman, California State Assembly member Paul Krekorian, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, LA City Controler Wendy Greuel and LA County Supervisor Mike Antonovich.

Royan Herman is President of the Los Angeles Horse Council and Recording Secretary of Foothill Trails Neighborhood Council. Royan conceived of and organize the City Council All Candidate Equestrian Forum in conjunction with National Night Out. It attracted over 200 voters.

Fritz is on the Board of the Los Angeles Horse Council and Foothill Trails District Neighborhood Council. He leads the War Horse and Militaria Group that does performances throughout southern California. He was recently honored in Germany as well.

Johnny Carpenter established the Heaven on Earth Ranch, a haven for the physically and mentally challenged children and young adults.
